This policy explains what personal data Datasaku collects through this website, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. We keep it short and specific — there is no hidden tracking behind it.

Who we are

Datasaku is a supply chain data consultancy. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at contact@datasaku.com. We act as the data controller for the information described below.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and how they found us. This helps us decide what to write about and whether our work is reaching the right audience.

Analytics only run if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you decline, no Google code is loaded at all and no analytics cookies are set — the banner is a genuine choice, not a formality. Your decision is remembered in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on every page.

What the analytics collect

When you consent, Google Analytics sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_<ID>, stored for up to two years) and processes:

• Pages viewed, time on page, and the order you visited them in
• How you arrived — search engine, direct visit, or referring website
• Approximate location (country/city level), derived from your IP address
• Device type, browser, operating system, and screen size
• Whether you submitted the contact form (recorded as an event, without the form's contents)

The legal basis for this processing is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Google acts as our processor and may transfer data outside the EU under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We do not use Google Ads, remarketing, or advertising personalisation on this site.

The contact form

The contact form does not send anything to a server of ours. When you submit it, your own email client opens with the details pre-filled, and nothing is transmitted until you press send. The resulting email arrives in our mailbox, which is hosted on Google Workspace.

We use what you send us — your name, email address, company, and message — solely to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss a possible engagement. We never sell it or share it with third parties for marketing.

How long we keep data

Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically. Emails you send us are kept for as long as our business relationship is active, and for up to three years after our last contact, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it. You can withdraw your analytics consent whenever you like using the button below. Write to us at contact@datasaku.com and we will respond within one month. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority — in France, the CNIL.
